Lac Du Roy

In summer time this small lake should be nice place where doing a relaxing pic-nic. Should be because we didn’t see it… 🙂 We’ve been there in February and lake was covered by more than 1m of snow.

From Taninges follow direction Le Praz de Lys, the are some parking around ski lift departure. Flat start at beginning, it becomes very steep on the way up to the lake. Quite tough climb with snowshoes.

On summer time might be easier and faster and you should be able to reach the big Cross on the highest point of the mountain ( with snow is too hard ).

Great view of the Alps in sunny days.

We didn’t want to follow same way we used to go up but we couldn’t neither find the official way down, so we followed the steep ski slopes. Not properly the best idea ever but we did it quite easly. Just walking on the edge of ski slopes and paid attention to skiers.

Info :

We rented our snowshoes here https://gosportmontagne.com/location-de-ski/le-praz-de-lys/ ( very cheap )
