Located just behind Lausanne. This cross stands on the top of Jura Mountains ( Swiss side )
There is a comfortable parking where to leave the car on Col du Molendruz. From here start many paths.
We followed the one that reaches Crox de Chatél. Looking for some nice path on Google I found this long but beautiful ring ( around 14 km). It is not too steepy but quite long and it takes around 5 hours to be completed with, of course lunch and photos break. 🙂
In the beginning we walked into the forest, then it became more opened area till the top of the mountains.
There is a bar restaurant not so far from the Cross reachable also by car.
No matter which way you choose to go up there but trust us it deserve the time spent.
Descending on the other side of the mountains, we walked again into the forest until we reached a nice spot where to admire the lake Joux.
Finally we got the main road to our car ( we were still missing 1,5 km but I told Den we were 10 min from the car 😜 ).
After she realised I was lying a bit but she was too tired even to blame me.😉
